Student Council / Leadership

Student council is a club that allows students to get experience working in groups, organizing events, working in the community and leading. Throughout the year student council runs or participates in numerous events, including Homecoming, the Blood Drive, Doernbecher week, Winter Wonder Week, Pancake Feeds, Ice Cream Socials, Battle of the Books and more. We have fun with these events and students get to be a part of community that works together to improve the school experience of their peers.

Here is what our Co-Student Body Presidents Maria Heyen and Catherine Tapales have to say about the club.

Maria Heyen - “Student council is important because it brings leadership to the student body from a student perspective. Students should be a part of this club because it allows students to develop leadership skills and build a sense of community.”

Catherine Tapales - “Student council is important because you get to help run fun activities and provide events for the school to help distract from the stress. Students should be a part of this club because it gets you involved and connects you with students that you might not normally get to interact with.”
