Mr. Vollner Bio

As a teacher and advocate for the arts, the ability for students to express themselves across digital and traditional media is something I am very passionate about. I think that Warrenton High School is at the forefront of STEAM learning, and I am very proud to serve our community. The potential for problem solving, creative responses, and design forward thinking that our curriculum offers is a direct reflection of student needs in the 21st century. My greatest obligation is to ensure that each student is offered an opportunity to flourish in their education, and I think that our Visual Art and Design classes give students a chance to learn in a new way. Instead of focusing on right or wrong answers, students can explore the world in their own creative, unique styles. Some learners who struggle in other classes absolutely thrive in my classroom because of this.
