The SAT test is the most popular standardized test taken by Warrenton High School students for 4-year college or university admission.

SAT TEST COST:
$47.50 without writing or $64.50 with writing.  
Some colleges require a writing scores, several do not.  The writing score can be used to meet Essential Skill requirements for graduation, so it is recommended for students who have not met the Writing Essential Skill.  Students can see a counselor to help determine whether or not they should sign up for the writing test.


SAT Subject Tests:
Some colleges and universities require scores on SAT Subject Test(s) for admission to demonstrate skills and knowledge in particular subject areas.  Subject tests are available to take in the areas of:  Literature, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, US History, and World History.  Additionally, subject tests are offered in the areas of French, Spanish, German, Modern Hebrew, Latin, and Italian -- available dates are varied for these tests.  *Listening tests are offered in Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish but ONLY on the November SAT test*  
Students can register for up to three subject tests at a time.  The base fee for one test is $26 and each additional test costs $21, listening tests are $26.  Register at sat.collegeboard.org

Fee Waivers:
Fee waivers are available for students who are burdened by the SAT or SAT Subject test fees.  Please see a counselor to obtain a fee waiver.  In order to qualify, a student must be on or qualify free or reduced lunch, be a member of Upward Bound or Talent Search, or have a financial hardship.  Using an SAT fee waiver allows students to use fee waivers for many college application fees as well.  See a counselor for more information.
