hello Warriors and families what a week it's been at ewhs our homecoming celebrations have been packed with excitement school spirit and fun and our students have been absolutely amazing throughout every day I've seen positivity encouragement and support as students cheered each other on participated in activities and showed what it means to be a warrior from our daily assemblies filled with games recognitions and spirited challenges to boo boo volleyball lipsync battles and so many other events the energy around campus has been electric I am so proud of the way our students conducted themselves showing Pride teamwork and joy in every activity homecoming isn't just about events it's about coming together as a community celebrating our students and making memories that last a lifetime thank you to everyone who made this week so special and a huge shout out to our Warriors for bringing the spirit every single day I'll be sharing a full collection of photos and videos next week but in the meantime here are a few quick snapshots from all the fun activities and celebrations our students have really been engaged this year actively participating in classes and events it's been great to see the memories they're making a few reminders and upcoming events after school tutoring continues on Mondays Tuesdays and Thursdays in Miss Diamond's classroom this is a great opportunity for students to get extra support or simply a quiet place to work weekly grade checks begin on Tuesday September 30th these checks apply to athletes participants in OSAA sponsored activities and those in a leadership position staying on top of grades ensures our students can continue to participate in the activities they love on Wednesday October 1st we're hosting FAFSA night in the library from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. seniors and their parents or Guardians should attend this is an important step in applying for federal financial aid and scholarships and we'll have staff available to provide guidance and answer questions on Thursday October 2nd our Juniors will be taking the ASVAB test in the morning the ASVAB helps students learn more about their skills and career interests and an open doors to opportunities in both civilian and Military Pathways later this month students will receive their scores and explore how those results can help guide their future planning also on October 2nd or school picture retakes looking ahead parent teacher conferences will be held on October 8th and 9th we'll share more details about scheduling next week however please note there is no school on Thursday and Friday October 9th and 10th thank you for your continued support of our students and our school this is principal Bev Scott and together we're building a strong year of learning growth and Community Spirit go Warriors
