I'm principal Bev Scott and along with our whs Warrior minute with information about safety spirit and successes here at ewhs I'm also sharing homecoming highlights so stay tuned since the start of the Year our students have practiced a bus drill a fire drill and an earthquake tsunami drill these routines are more than just practice they give students the knowledge and confidence to respond quickly and safely in real life emergencies now in its second year our seniors have the chance to reserve and paint their parking spaces it's become a fun tradition allowing students to Showcase their creativity and leave their mark on whs with colorful images messages and designs students are exploring new subjects sharpening their skills and deepening their understanding from creative projects to thoughtful discussions learning this fall at ewhs is engaging Dynamic and full of discovery with more than 1 third of our students involved in athletics Warrior pride is alive and well from the sidelines to the stands there are plenty of ways to cheer on and support our student athletes as they compete and grow through Sports together these experiences in safety creativity academics and Athletics make whs a vibrant place to learn and grow also we're so excited to welcome our families and Community to cheer on the Warriors this season as a reminder the paved parking area along the football field is reserved for handicap parking and emergency vehicles during varsity football games there will be limited paved parking spaces available during JV football games we realize that in the past this area has sometimes been used more broadly going forward will be enforcing this restriction so that those who need accessible parking and Emergency Services always have the space they require by choosing the main parking areas you're helping us keep game nights safe seamless and welcoming for everyone we want to share an important message from Warrington police chief Matthew Workman recently there has been an increase in unsafe driving behaviors around our school please remember that actions like double riding in car seats riding in trunks or other unsafe behaviors are considered reckless endangerment and are classified as a felony under the law please drive responsibly follow traffic laws and help keep whs a safe place for everyone thank you for being such an important part of making Friday nights at ewhs special and to round out this week's message message homecoming week is here at ewhs a time to celebrate our school our students and the Traditions that bring our community together homecoming is special because it gives every student a chance to participate show spirit and create memories that last long after high school we invite our families and community members to join in the fun all week long here is a summary of our home events during homecoming week Monday volleyball at 4:30 and JV football at 5 Thursday boys soccer at 4:30 and homecoming boo boo volleyball tournament at 6 Friday homecoming football game at 7:00 Saturday boys and girls soccer 11 to 2 and the homecoming dance is in the whs gym from 8 to 11 our homecoming dress up days are as follows Monday Disney character day Tuesday twin with your friends Wednesday neon and glow day Thursday Generations seniors are senior citizens juniors are adults sophomores are toddlers And freshmen are babies Friday best colors seniors wear black Juniors wear purple sophomores wear green and freshmen wear gold we encourage students to join in the dress up fun come cheer on our athletes and show their Warrior Pride let's make this homecoming week 1 to remember
